“I LOVE my car” said my sister. “It holds everything. I manage to get my two girls, all their clothes for a two-week holiday, the rabbit and hutch and all the other necessary bits and pieces into it.”
My sister drives a Citroen C3 Picasso. This people carrier is popular because it has lots of storage. Everywhere you look, there is a drawer, lidded and open compartments and even an adjustable boot space.
The spacious five-seater has a high-position driving seat with a commanding view of the road ahead and there is lots of space in the rear for taller children. For smaller infants, there is a useful mirror which drops down so you can keep an eye on what they are getting up to in the back.
My sister’s kids like travelling in her Citroen because they say they don’t feel closed in. There is a lot of glass, which makes it easy for the driver to see when manoeuvering and helps kids who might suffer with travel sickness. On the VTR model I road tested there is also a panoramic sun roof.
Women drivers appreciate the finer things in life and Citroen has catered for their needs by including a scented air freshener.
Other standard equipment includes an in car entertainment system and RDS stereo radio with an MP3 compatible CD player.
Two-thirds of kids said dad is the motorist who is more likely to weave in and out of the traffic and change lanes at speed to avoid getting stuck in a jam. So in case dad gets hold of the C3 steering wheel, it’s re-assuring to know that it has a wealth of safety features
